In 2002, I took two beginning bead stringing classes and fell in love. I immediately started buying beads, old and new, along with Bali silver, Swarovski crystals and gemstones. I didn't know what I would do with it all, and since my addiction was getting expensive, I started making jewelry for sale. In January of 2003, I created Kathe's Jewels making one of a kind earrings, bracelets, necklaces, hair ornaments and bookmarks with a twist. I get my ideas from everywhere and everything. I constantly change my designs to keep up with current trends, but I make a lot of my pieces with vintage crystal and beads giving some of my pieces a retro look. |
